Born into a family of farmers, son of Lt. Shri Tanaji Kalate (the 1st corporator of Wakad) and Shrimati Kamal Tanaji Kalate, Shri Rahul Kalate was exposed from his early childhood to strong ethics & value systems, by his grandfather, late shri Tukaram nana kalate.
Shri Rahul kalate went to modern high school pune & later joined BMCC college, from where he graduated as a bachelor of commerce.
He was always appreciated by his teachers and the staff of faculty at Pune university for his leadership kills and his emphasis on helping others selflessly.
A patriot at heart, Shri Rahul Kalate has participated in various social activities, right from his days as a student.
